Woodland Burials - Financial and Statistical Information

The St Albans Woodland Burial Trust was registered with the Charity Commission, number 1118216, on 5th March 2007 following a long search for suitable land that could meet both our current and future needs (please see our Woodland Timeline for further details).

The Memorandum and Articles of Association governing the Charity were incorporated on 18th December 2006 and confirm the main activities of the Trust.

The Trust's objectives are the provision of a woodland burial site for those people and families wishing to be buried in consecrated/protected ground in an environmentally and ecologically sustainable manner.

We actively train and support our staff so that they in turn can provide the family and friends of the bereaved with services and support during such difficult times.

Through active management of the woodland, the site has been developed and preserved in order to provide a semi-natural woodland environment during its infancy which in turn will become one of the country's ancient woodlands of tomorrow - for future generations to enjoy whilst preserving a diverse woodland structure, safeguarding notable species and wildlife communities.
