Local Reception Venues

Often, but not always, mourners will gather for a reception after a funeral. The selection of food and drink provided will be a very personal choice often dependent on such things as the time of day, budget, numbers etc. There are several local venues that are only a short distance away that you may wish to shortlist on the grounds of convenience alone.

Bolnhurst

The Plough

(Just 3 miles from the woodland - approx 6 minutes)

The privacy of their Dining Room is available for receptions of up to 32 people - for smaller functions, you can just hire half of it.

It is a beautiful building that can trace its roots back to Tudor times, with low beams, intriguing layout and few windows, all of which contribute to the character of the pub.

Original features, candlelight and open fires create an intensely warm atmosphere whilst subtle lighting adds intimacy. It has that most sought-after, cocooning quality.
